Film development and scanning for the everyday film community
A dedicated film development and scanning service, operating through a film drop-box system. We process using only fresh chemicals and scan in a maintained, dust-free environment. We offer high-resolution scans and are the most cost-effective film developing in the city.
See below for our drop-off, development, and pick-up schedule!

Why
We strive to help our own community in filling the void for film processing in the city. After the closure of some local photo-labs we were fond of, we felt the impact of not having a trusted place to get film developed and scanned at the quality we want, for a price we could afford.
We want to make sure that everyone can continue to enjoy shooting film for as long as we can.

FAQ
โฑ Turn-around time
-
No, we provide the envelopes that your film gets dropped in, in an envelope box located right next to our dropbox slot at Site 94 (outdoors), and ANNMS Shop (indoors).
-
Yes, we do! They can fit in our envelopes (although snugly).
-
Please click on the icons of the film rolls above and they will indicate the pricing for either development and scans (standard), development only (you are bringing film for us to develop and youโre scanning at home), or scans only (you are bringing already developed film for us to scan).Item description
-
Our cut-off time is Friday the weekend before we develop on the second and fourth Sunday of every month. Check the calendar for specific cut-off times.
-
Negative pick-ups are on every second or fourth sunday of every month, the second Sunday after your scans are sent out between 12-1 pm.
For example, if you got your scans sent to you on the second Sunday of the month, you could pick up your negatives earliest on the fourth Sunday of the month.
Negatives can be picked up at Site 94 (12002 94 ST NW), not ANNMS shop, and must be picked up within 2 months or they will be disposed of -
Try checking your spam inbox before emailing us. Unfortunately our email keeps being picked up by spam filters.
๐ฅผ Developing
-
If youโve somehow exposed your roll due to camera malfunction and your roll turns out blank, we are not currently offering refunds for blank rolls.
-
Yes we can! Weโll also add a stabilizer while developing, because older film emulsions do not come with a pre-built stabilizer.
-
Yes, weโve gotten quite a few inquiries on ECN-2 and E6. Right now weโre figuring out how to manage volume, and do not have immediate plans for it.
-
Not at the moment, but potentially in the future!
๐ธ Scanning
-
We use a high quality kit from the company Negative Supply, paired with a high dynamic range camera.
-
Our baseline resolution is around 6000 x 4000 px, but may vary slightly depending on post-processing (e.g. 5550x 3300 px). Youโll find our resolution is double the typical resolution on big box store scans!
-
No, we currently do not offer prints, and all pricing is inclusive of development, scanning, or both.
